From the A483 at Pentre, follow the river through Llangollen and Corwen, up to Betwys Y Coed. Another popular biker venue because you can go several directions from here, all good, but watch for the tight turn across the bridge into town between pedestrians.

If you go North, then a choice of which side of the river to run along as far as Llandudno, and strike east to Chester. The main N Wales Expressway is faster but somewhat dull, the coast road runs through a series of small towns not at their best in the winter, but the Flintshire Bridge back into England is impressive.

Going South on the A483, then cutting across into Cymru on the A5 past Llangollen and up to Corwen before swinging left over the hills and down into Bala. Very popular route for bikes, parking can be tight but plenty of hostelries and the road along the side of the lake is glorious.

At the South end of Lake Bala follow the road round left and over a narrow single carriageway to Lake Vyrynwy, not a high speed run but great scenery from the top. After Lake V, heading back East and rejoin the A483 to return to point of origin

A short video of the ride from the A464 past Corwen, down to Bala Town.
The joy of temporary traffic lights holding up the cars.....

The country road up from the south end of Lake Bala, over the hills to the southern end of Lake Vyrnwy. It's a track.
